Una visita a Isola Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc is a world unto itself. I encountered friendly and warmhearted locals and enjoyed my extraordinary holiday on white – sandy turquoise emerald beaches that are nowhere to be found. More images of Phu Quoc Island linger in my memory from hard – working fishermen, green – red colored boats to fish cages linked together. Fish farming has been flourishing in Phu Quoc for decades. Locals earn their living from this yet it is not as easy as what people think of. Fish cages normally made up of plastic buckets and planks covered with nets yet they are susceptible to be broken down under bad weather conditions.

Fish sauce is the most popular local specialties in Phu Quoc. The taste of Phu Quoc fish sauce is different from other regions throughout the country, in particular, scented fresh fish sauce has a very strong taste. Locals use fresh tiny fishes namely Soc Tieu, Com Do, Com Than to make fish sauce.

I also visited green pepper farms at the centre of Phu Quoc Island. Like fish sauce, Phu Quoc black and red peppers are also famous specialties in the island and throughout the country. Phu Quoc pepper is famous for its big seed, thin husk, strong and spicy taste, and solid score. Locals use ripe peppers to make red peppers and black peppers made from green ones.

I journeyed to a crazy crowded delightful market in Phu Quoc Island and like others on land, I found everything I need here: fresh fruits, vegetables, all kinds of fresh seafood like shrimps, fishes, cuttlefishes and so forth.

At the end of the day, I walked to beautiful beaches and encountered stunning purple – red sunset. The sea is all around me, I heard the exotic sounds of the waves and the winds, I found myself in peace and deep relaxation. My visit to Phu Quoc brings me unique and exotic experience in this beautiful tranquil island. Also thank you my friends in Eviva Tour for supporting me hotel accommodation and good trip advisors.
