Seventeen Saloon Saigon

Seventeen Saloon Saigon is a Western Saloon themed bar and one of the best live music bars in Ho Chi Minh, hosting two different bands every day. In the bar upstairs you can listen to a Filipino band playing Western songs and some Vietnamese on request, while downstairs in the main area a rock, heavy metal band is rocking the stage.

Seventeen Saloon is a nice place to spend some hours after a long day in the city if you love rock music, guitar shredding and loud sing-a-longs. Go through the swinging saloon doors and you will resurface at the end of the 19th century, a world of Texas Cowboys in the Wild West, with saddles, sharp pointed boots, sexy (Asian) cow girls and beer. Their regular band is called “Sound of Rock” and also comes from the Philippines. They are incredibly talented musicians, playing originals by Dio, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Journey, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Sabbath, Bon Jovi and many more.

A great deal they are offering from their drink menu is the 7-package deal of Tiger or Heineken beer, which comes with a plate of snacks and unlimited popcorn for the price of VND 650.000 (US$ 30). Individual beers cost VND 160.000. This bar is located a few hundred metres from Saigon’s main backpacker area on Pham Ngu Lao street so it’s easy to find.
